SimCity, later renamed SimCity Classic, is a city-building simulation video game, first released on October 3, 1989, and designed by Will Wright. This game can be played also in a version for SNES. If you prefer to use a java applet emulator, follow this link. This game is emulated by javascript emulator em-dosbox. For fullscreen press 'Right Alt' + 'Enter'. Needless to say, I've got hours of work ahead of me to make Sim versions of all of the towns and cities in this well done.Game is controlled by the same keys that are used to playing under MS DOS. Layton, Kaysville, Farmington, Centerville, Bountiful, Woods Cross, Western outskirts of Morgan, Stansbury Park, Tooele and of course all cities in the Salt Lake Valley (Salt Lake County). So cities you can build in this region include: Southwest - Clipper Peak, south of Tooele
South - Point of the Mountain and most of Bluffdale Southeast - Box Elder Peak (just west of Tibble Fork) Northwest - About 5 miles west from the northern tip of Antelope Island Comparing it to Google Maps, I estimate the boundaries cover: This is a large map, but definitely the most accurate scale I've ever seen. Years ago I'd tried several times to make an accurate scale of Salt lake City (my home town), but could never find something with the correct scale. More details coming soon!įound SimCity4 on Steam and it has got me excited to get back into it. These comes in 2 styles: Edo and Ichijoudani. It can also be used as walls for your garden, your temples/shrines, parks, or your small Japanese castle. These lots consists of walls that you can use to build private residential Japanese estates, or "shoen". This will be the main focus of my BATs, as I build the town of Suemori for the upcoming reboot of Okaiken. A lot of buildings are derived from the traditional "machiya" (town houses) found in cities such as Kanazawa, Kyoto, Hagi or Edo.

The Okaiken Jokamachiya Collection is a collection of Muromachi Period - Edo Period Japanese buildings. Watch this space if I did decide to nightlight them to modern period standards! I still don't know how to do nightlights but considering I'm starting from the Sengoku Period (where even candles were nonexistent), there won't be a lot of nightlighting involved. Only took me a whole day to crash course on everything, from making the model to texturing the model. I think I finally figured how to do these now.

Hopefully you'll hear a release very soon. Thanks to Boricua, and motivating me to start modelling and BATing, I especially thank Mushy for being such a great guide to the complexities of BATing. I'm usually pretty bad at exporting BATs and I felt like an absolute beginner compared to other people, but I'm trying hard to at least release a couple of BATs when I'm bored.
